Meadowlark's Kite speaker ($10,000 per pair) is the first of the company's new Talon line
of powered speakers. In its case, only the woofer, which is capable of 1 1/4" of
excursion, is powered. The speaker is rated by Meadowlark as flat to 18Hz

Two new amps from Clayton Audio, although only one looks
new. The M100 monoblock (left, $6500 per pair) sits next to its much bigger
brother, the S2000 stereo amp ($8000). Clayton also has a preamp in the works.

Edge Electronics' NL-10 amp costs $9500 and was on
static display only. Its claim to fame is that it's laser biased.

Wisdom Audio's revamped M-50 speaker ($18,900 per
pair) is a monopole design that marries a 12" woofer with a 4' "planar magnetic
line-source" driver. Like its larger cousin, the Adrenaline Rush, the M-50 produces a
big sound -- but this time in a single smaller (albeit rather large overall) cabinet.
