Germany's Acapella Audio Arts showed the Violencello
loudspeaker priced at approximately 57,000,000 lira.

The Zingali Colosseum S loudspeaker system retails for 2,500,000 lira. A slightly larger
system, the Colosseum L, retails for 3,500,000 lira. Zingali has five different speaker
types and over 20 different models.

Designer Giuseppe Zingali is shown with the Overture .4B loudspeaker, which retails for
6,800,000 lira.

Yamaha's new DVD-S795 DVD player.

A speaker that fits in the palm of your hand, Technics SB-M 01 uses what looks like a
3" woofer in a beautifully finished cabinet. Retail price is about 1,000,000 lira per
pair.

The future high-end audio format? The Technics DVD-A10 will play the new DVD-Audio discs
in addition to DVD-Video discs and standard CDs. Retail price for this unit is about $1200
USD. DVD-Audio is the digital audio format that is being touted as the next-generation
music format to supercede CD. Its main competitor is Sony's SACD.

From the same parent company, the Panasonic DVD-A7 has similar capabilities as the the
Technics DVD-A10, but has a slightly lower price tag of just under $1000 USD.

Despite the new digital audio formats, many consumers still want to spin vinyl. Shown is
the Technics SL-1200LTD turntable with gold accents.

Plenty of small systems for small places were on display. Some of the most popular are
from TEAC.

NAD's high-end Silver Series electronics.

Magnepan speakers with a Muse Model 5 as transport, dCS Elgar for DAC, and McCormack
DNA-2 Deluxe for power.

There was plenty of good reproduced sound, but none quite as real as this live band strolling
the halls.

Goldmund's new SR5 home-theater power amplifier carries a list price in Italy of 8,950,000
lira. The rack holding the components is by an Italian company called Music Tools.

Cerwin-Vega, an American company known for making speakers that can play loud and proud,
made it overseas. Shown is the model E-310.

Boston Acoustics speakers were used with an NEX PlasmaSync 4205W display as part of an
impressive home-theater system.

Italy's Audiogram showed the Elle 1 full-range electrostatic loudspeaker. The price is
5,080,000 lira.

The Audiogram Lettori CD player (top) is priced at 1,340,000 with remote control. The
PI-ERRE 01 preamplifier (on top of bottom component) is priced at 880,000 lira, and the
65Wpc PI-W02 amplifier (bottom) is 1,140,000 lira. Audiogram also makes two integrated
amplifiers.

Also showing in the same room as Audiogram was popular British manufacturer Naim Audio.
